There is a new movie coming out in March 2009 based on the biblical Book of Ruth. The trailer I found on youtube looks really interesting.

I hope the movie has more than a fluffy, feel-good message. Ruth 4:18-22 reveals why Ruth was important in the grand scheme of things.

Ruth was an ancestor of David, who was ultimately an ancestor of Jesus.
